Electronics Overview

Have a glance around you for a moment or two. What do you see? A television? A radio? A microwave? A calculator? A computer? A DVD Player? A Tomagotchi? A Space Shuttle? Well, believe it or not, all of those things would cease to exist - or more accurately they would have never existed at all - without the science of electronics.

Electronics has a long and complex past. From the humble beginnings of a man administering electro-shock therapy to his wife, electronics has grown in to a worldwide economy worth thousands of pounds almost every year.

With the help of our “friend” electronics humanity has landed a man on the moon, created a worldwide information and communication system and created RFID tags that will, in the near future, be able to monitor the location and behaviour of every citizen on the planet constantly. The future’s bright and it’s being illuminated by something electronic.
